Homelessness Based Therapy

 

Here are some resources aimed specifically at helping find mental health treatment for those who are homelessness or between homes.

  • Healthcare for the Homeless where no one is declined care based on ability to pay. Feel free to call via this number: 1- 713-286-6000

  • Houston Recovery Center provides addiction recovery services to anyone in need.

  • Baylor College of Medicine provides Mental health counseling and treatment for those struggling with homelessness as part of Health Disparities Collaborative on Depression.

  • Harris Health System provides details on all partners with this program including Baylor College of Medicine, a number of local women’s, family, and men’s homes. Follow the link to find these locations that can help provide Mental Health Counseling services.

  • Bee Busy Wellness Center offers sliding scale fees, discounted schedule; accepts CHIP, Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance accepted; and offers walk-in appointments. The Center includes a street outreach team and food pantry. Must bring picture identification.

  • Star of Hope offers services to those suffering from mental, emotional, or physical disorders including support groups and one-on-one counseling services for mental health.
