Incarceration Based Therapy

 

Here are some resources aimed specifically at helping find newly released prisoners mental health treatment.

#1 Harris County Mental Health Jail Diversion Program is designed to divert persons with mental illness who have been picked up for low-level, non-violent offenses, such as trespass, to a more appropriate mental health intervention

#2 My Health My Resources of Tarrant County (MHMR) provides behavioral health services for special populations such as veterans and people in the criminal justice (forensic) system such as jail and on parole / probation with mental illness as well as juvenile offenders in Tarrant and surrounding counties.

#3 The Harris Center also provides a number of services for mental health treatment in their Forensic Services Divisions.

#4 Texana Center participates in two criminal justice involved projects designed to aid offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments.
